Before engaging in boat-diving activities, divers who have not been diving within the last three months or have logged fewer than 30 dives are required to participate in an orientation dive, conducted daily in the lagoon. Please present your certification card and logbook when you register for diving.
All divers are advised to refrain from diving 12 hours after international flights and 24 hours before travelling by air, including by seaplane. Divers must complete a medical questionnaire prior to their first dive at either of our Four Seasons Maldives resorts. Depending on their responses to the questionnaire, divers may be required to pass a complimentary medical examination with our doctor.
MARINE CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES
Marine conservation programmes at Four Seasons Resorts Maldives began in 2001, when Malé-based environmental consultancy Seamarc Pvt. Ltd. was enlisted to help save coral colonies around Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa.
Today, the two resorts, Kuda Huraa and Landaa Giraavaru, are home to one of the world’s most successful coral propagation projects. A dedicated team of marine biologists guides guests through the alluring underwater world around the islands, where they can experience unforgettable encounters with a variety of marine creatures while learning about their life and habitat. Guests are also invited to participate in some of the Resort’s conservation projects.
Proceeds from all activities support the Resort’s Green Fund conservation and marine research programmes.
