The Jungle Reserve

Soneva Fushi’s ultimate, one-of-a-kind accommodations occupy the island’s prime sunrise real estate, steps from our lagoon’s most vibrant snorkelling and secluded by tangles of palm dense forest. Long loved and much sought after, this uncommon escape built of bamboo and other organic materials under traditional thatch roofs has been revitalised to improve upon its already legendary reputation. Dramatic indoor living, dining and dreaming area linked by tropical open living spaces, romantic terraces, scenic decks and idyllic walkways surrounding your private seaside swimming pool. In your pleasure palace at the Indian Ocean’s edge, you’ll also find two additional and spacious bedrooms for family or friends, kitchen with wine cellar, personal gym plus a dedicated spa pavilion with sauna and steam bath down below, massage suite on top. When all that fun is done, retreat to your single level master villa with indoor and outdoor bathrooms surrounded by tropical gardens. The daily changing “Simply Soneva” menu represents a selection of premium produce, creatively assembled for your dining pleasure.

Fresh In The Garden Restaurant

The Fresh in the Garden Restaurant is near Cinema Paradiso and the tennis court.  You will traverse organic fruit and herb gardens, and then climb broad winding stairs to a rope bridge that spans the banana plantation.  A panoramic westerly aspect over the gardens and surrounding jungle will afford spectacular views of the sunset.

Lunch : (minimum of six guests)

(Can be opened daily, except Tuesdays) The lunch is purely composed from our organic grown island produce, Maldivian seafood, fruit and vegetables. Alternatively try a cooking class with our chef in the vegetable garden, where you can enjoy learning about Asian cuisine, and cook your culinary creations using the fresh herbs and spices available at your fingertips. Since we like our classes to be spontaneous, we offer a glass of wine or two to make the cooking a little less stressful!

Offering well balanced cuisine, the dinner comprises a daily changing a la carte menu of five choices per course, in which all the dishes will be created from organic produce. We will also be offering dishes on the menu that are health-conscious, encompassing raw and well balanced cuisine.

By The Beach Restaurant

Soneva Fushi evolves again to bring something new to the table. Always looking to enhance the culinary experiences we are pleased to introduce a Peruvian and Japanese fusion culinary adventure. The menu draws heavily on classic Japanese food with South American influences.

The main inspiration was to focus on the amazing quality of the raw ingredients already abundant in the Maldives such as the local fish delivered daily to the jetty along with some of the organic produce from the garden.

To ensure we got the authenticity correct we were pleased to be able to work with Toshiro Konishi, Japanese born who emigrated to Peru in 1975.

His restaurant in Lima has for many years attracted positive reviews and acclaim as one of the best Sushi restaurants in the world.

You can now try some of his signature dishes and an array of subtle assorted Sashimi, a variety of hand made Niguiri sushi or Maki sushi rolls. Try Toshiro’s special Peruvian Ceviche’s.

With these tempting dishes we have also brought to you a selection of the finest Japanese sakes to enjoy, chilled or warm, plum wines and a fine selection of South American wines for your pleasure from Argentina and Chile.Sense by the Beach, is located on the sunset side of the island and is open for dinner.

Our in villa team also acts as the reservation centre for the various food and beverage activities. The in villa dining team is very mobile, and we can cater to most of our guest needs at virtually any location. The sandbank dinners are without doubt a unique experience, but do not forget our garden lunches or cooking classes arranged by our in villa dining team.

The main bar is an oasis of calm for reading, a board game, a relaxed game of snooker, recuperation from strenuous spa treatments or even a wi-fi hot spot for sending an email.  As the sun sets it becomes an idyllic setting for cocktails and conversation.

The best selection of spirits and liqueurs are available within our stylish white and brown bar “….So Spiritual”. Peruse through one of the biggest collections of spirits within the Maldives.

We offer an extensive variety of food throughout the day, not forgetting the cheese and ham gourmet room.

We offer cocktail classes at midday in wet weather; this can also be arranged at any other time with your Guest Relations officer.

Whisky tasting is held at 9.30pm hosted by our sommelier, and can be arranged by reservation for other times, everyday except Tuesday. Please make a reservation with your Guest Relations Officer one day prior.

Sunset Cocktails
From 5.30pm until the last guest leaves Me Dhuniye bar sits on the sunset side of the island, which is truly the most idyllic place to watch the sun set behind the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Sunset cocktails on the beach 700 wines are available from the nearby cellar An extensive selection of whisky, rum and aperitifs. 20 wines are available by the glass. Sunset and Cellar Tastings in the Sense by the Beach Pavilion and The Cellar.

The Cellar

Soneva Fushi has gained worldwide recognition for the unique selection of wines available on this tiny island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Adjacent to Sense by the Beach restaurant, our subterranean Wine Cellar holds up to seven thousand bottles in climate controlled peace.

Celler Visits

At your convenience with 20mins notice. We open the cellar for our guests to pick their favourite bottle with the assistance of our Sommelier.  Choose any wine and we will arrange for it to be served anywhere on the island.

Wine Tastings

Every day, except Tuesday and Saturday, from 6.30pm (minimum of six guests)  (Please confirm your reservation the day before) Explore some of over 700 different labels at a wine tasting in the cellar.  Six wines are tasted together with an assortment of amuse bouche.  Join our Sommelier in the cellar for an extended aperitif and find something similar, familiar, or broaden your horizons with something new.

these evenings are an interactive discussion of six bottles with selected canapés to match the wines and our location.  It is all the more enjoyable for the diversity of interests that gather around the tasting table.  Thus, a minimum of six guests will have confirmed a reservation with Guest Relations before a tasting will go ahead.  Cancellations after 3pm on the day of the tasting will be charged at sixty US dollars per guest.

Wine Dinners

Every day, with a minimum of four guests from 7pm (Please confirm your reservation the day before). For these indulgent dinners the menus are written after bottles have been selected.  We create a suitable dish to match both the wine and your occasion.  Our Executive Chef and Sommelier will arrange to meet with you the day before to discuss your preferences for the menu and wines.
